You've heard all about Robin Hood's proficiency with a bow, and his love affair with Maid Marion, but before he met her, Rob played at more than one game in Nottingham.

Perhaps you hadn't heard? Rob's got a sword, too, and he knows how to use it. Step into Sherwood, where women appreciate a man who knows how to wield his weapon with skill.

Robin Hood is the king of swords, but his young apprentice, Lion, is taking lessons, learning fast, and his sword skills are quickly becoming renowned, too.

The Excerpt

Annie plucked thorns from the tumbling curls. "Stop your laughing, you oaf. I am happy to see him." When she managed to get the sticks out of her hair, and toss them aside. without warning. she leaped into Rob's arms and started kissing him with an intensity that was staggering.

Rob literally back peddled a few feet at the onslaught. Annie wrapped her arms around his neck and her legs around his waist. Rob could do naught but slide his own arms around her and kiss her in return.

The greeting didn't take long. Annie pulled her head back and eyed the king of thieves with great pleasure. "Yore a sore sight, Rob. Where the hell have ya bloody been?"

He grinned at her. "Between the legs of a thousand lasses, but none as sweet as yours, I vow."

She believed him. Rob never lied. She said, "Ah, you're a smooth one, Rob." Then she planted a long, wet one on his lips, thrusting her tongue into his mouth, teasing him with the rhythm of mating.

Lion had to readjust his cock's setting in his breeches, just at the watching of it. He drank it in, even though he hadn't touched the shire's best whore. She was an arousing wench. Her breasts fairly spilled from the drawn bodice of her blouse. The flesh at her shoulders was freckled and cushioned. She was built for comfort, no doubt in that.

Her curves were evident in the way she wrapped herself around Rob, and the way his arms and fingers splayed over her. Rob adjusted his grip, yanked Annie's skirt up so he could squeeze her bare butt cheeks.

She moaned into his mouth and tore her lips free. "There's a cost to everything Rob. Times are hard."

Lion chuckled. "What's your wage. times two?"

Rob let his fingers take a free wandering into Annie's hidden creases. As always, Annie was wet.

Briefly, she closed her eyes, enjoying the gentle exploration. "Mmmm." She swallowed hard and opened her eyes, "Yore making it hard for figuring, Rob."

He chuckled and buried his nose in her cleavage. His fingers stilled. "You just go ahead and think it over, sweet. I'll mind my manners." But he didn't. His tongue reached out and took a slithering taste.

The Reviews:

This was a fun romp through the forest of a legendary hero. It's obvious that Ms. Weldon enjoys writing lighthearted tales. I like reading stories where the participants aren't afraid to laugh during intercourse. That's the main reason I enjoyed this book, no one took anything seriously. Merry Men and Women - Tarot: King of Swords was a nice, light read. Thanks Ms. Weldon.

This is an erotic twist on an old tale and most readers will find it sensual and funny. Rob is nothing like the fairy tale. This sensual oversexed hero finds his pleasure when and where he can and proves why he has a reputation for being the prince of swords since he certainly knows how to wield his own. Readers will be entranced by this alternate version of an old classic. If a short, quick read is what you are after with a little fairy tale on the side, then certainly you should pick this book up.

3 1/2, Angel Brewer @ The Romance Studio

This is a short story that is just plain fun to read. I found myself grinning from ear to ear from the first page to the last. But be sure to start the cold shower running before you begin reading. The author's vivid telling of the characters' bawdiness will make you need the shower when you are done!

4 Angels, Kathy @ Fallen Angel Reviews

Merry Men and Women is a lighthearted read with an interesting back-story. We get a glimpse of Rob's pre-Maid Marion shenanigans. He is a sexy hero who is legendary for more than his good deeds. He is accompanied by a rowdy band of thieves, with whom he manages to get into plenty of mischief. A romp in Sherwood Forest has never been this sexy or fun!
